• March 6, 2026 @ 3:00 PM – Final 20 Participants Announced

Winners & Prizes

Top 3 winners will be selected from 20 participants

• 1st Place: $1,000

• 2nd Place: $500

• 3rd Place: $300

Rules & Guidelines

1. Eligibility & Application

• Open to professional stylists, hair stylists, barbers, freelance stylists, students, and aspiring cosmetologists

• Participants must be 18 years or older

• Application must be completed by March 4, 2026 @ 3:00 PM

• No application fee

• Final 20 participants must maintain communication via email to confirm participation

• Failure to follow rules may result in disqualification at the discretion of The Braid Master Competition team

2. Contestant Agreement

• All stylists, barbers, and models must submit the contestant agreement form before the competition

• By signing, participants agree to allow the use of photos and videos by DBA Beauty Master, BM FL LLC, and all related assigns

3. Competition Guidelines

• Arrival Time: No later than 10:00 AM

  • Late arrivals after 10:00 AM will be disqualified

• Competition Time:

  • Starts at 11:00 AM

  • Ends at 2:00 PM

• All braiding must be completed on-site at the Beauty Master Orlando location

• Some preparation may be done beforehand, but final styling must be done during the competition

• Participants must bring their own tools and accessories

• Only contestants and models are allowed in the prep area

  • Unauthorized individuals may result in point deductions

• Guests may watch from designated viewing areas

4. Hair Requirements

• All hair must be purchased from Beauty Master

• Proof of purchase (receipt) is required

• Hair may be purchased before or on the day of the event

🚫 No Pre-Styling Allowed

• Hair must arrive clean and blow-dried only

• No pre-braiding, curling, or pre-set styles

• No pre-attached hairpieces

• All added hair must be installed during the competition

✨ Styling Tools & Products

• Participants may bring their own tools and products

• Full creative freedom is allowed with personal styling products

5. Makeup & Attire Guidelines

Model

• Makeup and outfit should complement the hairstyle

• Makeup and wardrobe must be completed before the competition

• Live models only (no mannequins or styling heads)

• No vulgar, revealing, or inappropriate attire

• No nudity or excessive exposure

• Large accessories, extreme heels, or oversized outfits may be checked by staff

• No age or gender restrictions for models

Stylist

• Black attire is recommended for a cohesive look

• Aprons will be provided

6. Winners & Payment

• Judges will select the final 3 winners

• Prize money will be paid within 14 days after the competition

7. Provided by Beauty Master

• Styling chair and table

• Apron

• Styling cape
